Weight Management
SATIETY SUPPORT WEIGHT MANAGEMENT is a complete dietetic food for dogs formulated to reduce excess body weight. This food has a low energy level.
Feeding Duration
Individual target weight is determined depending on individual pet and breed.
The recommended daily intake is based on the pet's target weight and takes intoaccount the pet's sex and amount overweight. The optimal weight loss is 1 to 3% weekly.
Once the target weight is reached, feeding Weight Control Canine or Weight & Osteo Canine is recommended to maintain an optimal weight.
A high protein content (>110g/1000 kcal DM) helps reduce loss of muscle mass by 30%.
The high fibre content increases the volume of stomach contents and promotes satiety (reducing the feeling of hunger) by delaying stomach emptying.
The Satiety Support Canine formula with high mineral and vitamin concentration compensates for the effect of energy restriction ensuring an appropriate nutritional supply.
Chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine help to maintain normal mobility in the highly stressed joints of obese pets.
What makes Satiety Support unique is its superior effect on dogs’ satiety. This effect results from the combination of a protein-rich, high-fibre formula, both recognised for promoting satiety, and the kibble’s special, low density texture.
For the same calorie content, Satiety Support enables dogs to receive a portion size 32% larger than with a commonly used, high-fibre diet available on the market.
Satiety Support’s satiety-promoting effect has been confirmed by several studies carried out by the Royal Canin research centre.
