HEPATIC is a complete dietetic feed for the nutritional management of dogs formulated to support liver function in the case of chronic liver insufficiency and for the reduction of copper in the liver. Moderate level of high quality protein. High level of essential fatty acids and highly digestible carbohydrates. Low level of copper.

Feeding duration varies depending on the pathology and on the regenerative ability of the hepatic tissue.Lifetime feeding may be necessary in case of chronic disease.In order to reduce the postprandial hepatic charge, it is recommended to feed several small meals up to the recommended daily intake.

VEGETABLE PROTEIN

Highly digestible vegetable proteins (soy protein isolate) are better tolerated in dogs with hepatic encephalopathy.

LOW COPPER

A low copper with increased zinc content minimises both copper accumulation in the hepatocytes and intracellular lesions caused by cholestasis.

ANTIOXIDANT COMPLEX

The synergistic antioxidant complex reduces oxidative stress and fights free radicals.

HIGH ENERGY

High energy provided from fat avoids excessive protein catabolism limiting the risk of onset or the progression of hepatic encephalopathy.
